Plus Size Holiday Party Outfit Guide

Something about this time of year makes me feel so nostalgic. I was actually thinking about my teens the other day and how I would always read those corny magazines that would show you what outfit to pair with certain hairstyles or certain perfumes. That’s when I started to think, I created so many outfits based on those magazine articles! Wouldn’t it be fun to write my own little “one stop shop” Holiday party outfit guide? I think so! It’s party season, so here are some handpicked outfits complete with accessories and other goodies based on what vibe you’re going for!

For a classy or a sophisticated look, I chose this ruched body con dress with sheer polka-dot sleeves. This dress is the epitome of class IMO. The ruched detail adds character to the dress while smoothing out any areas you may feel uncomfortable with. By adding a sparkly little hand bag, you're still keeping with the classy look, but inserting a touch of glam as well. The gorgeous crystal earrings are flashy but still subtle which is what I think being classy is all about! Next, add a pair of strappy black heels to elongate those pretty legs!

Tie the whole look together with a neutral cut crease that has a hint of shimmer. (it's the holidays, so why not?) Finish up with a spritz of the new Gucci perfume that smells like the most amazing rose garden you've ever smelled, and you my darling, have got yourself a look!

My personal favorite look is this not so traditional Holiday season color scheme, but oh so pretty look! The A-line shape of this dress screams feminine, and it's also extremely comfortable and flattering on all shapes and sizes. By pairing the white and blue patterned dress with the blush colored pumps and hand bag, you'll play up the femininity like a pro! I chose these geometric hoops to add a little bling, and this sultry rosy makeup look just takes everything over the top! Finish up with my current favorite perfume "Her" from Burberry, it smells like sexy cotton're welcome.

I automatically thought "jumpsuit" when I was picking out this edgy outfit. The kinda revealing body hugging jumpsuit will be a show stopper at any party. Pair this look with a fuzzy leopard print clutch for a sassy touch. My favorite part of this outfit are these SHOES honey! They are fierce and just scream lady-boss! Add some textured earrings to lean into that edgy vibe and try out this rule breaking "reverse smokey eye" to spice things up. Finish up with "Sultry" perfume from Torrid that smells like a warm yet fresh dream!

I couldn't forget about all my divas out there! If you love glitz and glam, then this look is for you. I love this sparkly maxi dress and heel combo! The maroon velvet clutch acts as a contrasting piece to add an element of surprise (not that this look needs any!) The shoes I chose are definitely glam, but subtle so that they make your legs look a million miles long. Add these blingy earrings to match this show stopping dress and follow a simple yet glam look yours truly posted on IG to fully reach maximum glam status. Finish up with this classic fragrance from Victoria's Secret whose name matches the way you'll feel once you step out in this look: a BOMBSHELL!

I think I had the most fun putting this look together! I chose a simple forest green velvet dress and added funky accessories to it to make the entire look cohesive. This translucent pearl hand bag is just the cutest thing I've ever seen, and I love how it pairs with the snake skin booties! Adding in some color with those chunky earrings is definitely a must, they are a statement piece that ties everything together. The colorful yet simple eye look is perfect for outfits that have a little more going on. It's simple, but still shows of your personality. Seal the deal with Etat Libre d'Orange's perfume in "I am Trash" despite it's name, it's a deep musky scent that has notes of citrus. The beauty about an eclectic style is that you can let your personality shine through! If you like peacock feathers, try a pair of earrings made from them! If you like neon yellow, add a fun pop of it somewhere in your outfit! The possibilities are endless!
