It’s finally spring! Time to bust out our colorful clothing again! Like I have said before, I’m not the biggest fan of trends, because I know what I like, I know what I feel comfortable in, and I know what looks good on my body; however, sometimes as a plus sized gal, I can be a little intimidated by some of the fashion trends I see on social media, and can think because of my size, I can’t wear those things, but here are a few trendy pieces that are super easy to pull off at any shape or size. Comment below what your favorite style is!
These shirts have come and gone out of style for years! And right now, they are hot! Not only are these styles of shirts super on trend right now, they are also so cute and effortlessly sexy! Showing off your décolletage is one of the most subtle ways to spice up an outfit. If you are a busty gal (like yours truly) invest in a sturdy strapless bra in order to feel more comfortable in these tops.
(My favorites are from Torrid and Lane Bryant)
These controversial pieces leave us asking if they are in fact cute, or are they just an adult onesie? I’m here to set the record straight: Rompers are super cute and are so flattering on all body types! The defined waistline of rompers creates an hour glass shape on any body type, and the flowy bottom half glides over the hips allowing you to feel comfortable yet put together all day.
For at least two years now, matching sets have been such cute staple pieces that should be in everyone’s wardrobe. How many of you remember those bulky matching sweat pant sets? These are like the grown and sexy versions!
Wide Leg Pants
These pants can be tricky to work with. It is very easy to look “matronly” in these if paired with certain items. A rule of thumb for styling wide leg pants is pairing them with a tight shirt, crop top, or bralette.
Because these pants have so much volume, keep the top half of your outfit more streamlined in order to look more proportioned.
